Essential oil jewelry is wildly popular right now- and for good reason. What’s better than wearing beautiful, high quality jewelry and improving your wellness at the same time?

I’ve been interested in all of the health benefits of essential oils for a while now. It’s amazing how they can improve your sleep, boost your mood, help relieve headaches, and so many other benefits for your mind and body. 

So when I found out that there’s such a thing as essential oil jewelry, I was instantly intrigued! Aromatherapy jewelry that I can wear and smell all day long?! I had to find out more. That’s when I discovered a brand called Drops of Joy Jewelry.  

On their site you’ll find a ton of different essential oil bracelets, earrings, necklaces, lava beads, and even essential oil car diffusers. They’re one of the few aromatherapy jewelry companies that offers personalized engraving, custom birthstones, and your choice of beads.

The company is run by a husband and wife team who share the mission of making essential oils more accessible to the millions of essential oil users.

With essential oil jewelry you won’t need to remember to carry oil bottles with you-  and you won’t need to plug in a diffuser every time you want to experience the benefits. Instead, you can just keep your favorite essential oil scents with you all day long in their special beads and lockets. So cool, right?

I reached out to them and they were kind enough to send me an essential oil diffuser necklace, which I’ve been wearing every day and loving!

So How does Essential Oil Jewelry Work?

As someone who’s new to essential oil jewelry, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Surprisingly, it was pretty easy to figure out!

Each necklace comes with 3 little organic cotton discs. All you need to do is put a couple drops of your favorite essential oil onto the disc, slip it into your locket, and then you can enjoy the scent all day. 

When the scent fades, you have two options. You can either add more oil to the disc or you can just wash it with soap and water and let it air dry to reuse again!

After several days of wearing the necklace, here are my thoughts:

• As someone who prefers jewelry on the smaller size, I wondered if essential oil jewelry was going to be too big or bulky for my preference. I’m so happy to find that this necklace is the perfect size! And I love that it just looks like a regular necklace. 
• I’m loving the rose gold color of this necklace- it’s so beautiful.
• I like how you can control how strong the scent is. If you want it to be stronger, you just add more essential oil drops. If you want your oil to be more subtle, then you can add less drops. It’s completely in your control.
• I like that this necklace is versatile. I feel comfortable wearing it daily, but could also dress it up if I wanted! 
• $2 of each necklace sold is donated to St. Jude’s hospital! I love supporting a brand that values helping others in need.
• It’s so nice to be able to smell the necklace any time I feel stressed or want a little mood boost. 

All in all, I’m super happy with my first experience trying essential oil jewelry. I hung out with a friend this week and the first thing she said was, “I love your necklace!!”
