Journaling is a great way to slow down, reflect on your life, and get clarity on things that may be bothering you. Sometimes we know how we feel, but we don’t always know why.

Mindfulness journaling can help us discover our why, and give us a clear direction to move forward.

For example, one of the mindfulness journal prompt below says, “What are the three ways I spend most of my time?” I know that personally, I spend a lot of time on my laptop. But I might not fully realize how much until I really think about how I spend my time each day.

By really getting honest and real with myself, I can discover new things about myself and my life. Journaling can bring about these new insights about ourselves that we might’ve never realized before! Sometimes we know something, but don’t take enough time to really dig deep and think about it.

My hope is that the mindfulness journal prompts (and FREE worksheet!) can help you self reflect, be more aware of your life and your choices, and help you live each day with more intention.

Why is it important to live with intention?

Living with intention means that each day, you’re making conscious choices that align with your morals and values. Instead of giving in to impulses or making choices without thinking them through, someone who is intentional will spend time reflecting and being mindful of their choices.

It’s something I continue to work on every day! It can be easy to just live in auto-pilot and go with the flow. It’s easy to make decisions without thinking them through, or speak to others without any thought put into it. But when we are intentional, it’s easier to reach our goals and live a life that feels more authentic.

Living with intention also helps us feel more grounded, calm, and relaxed! When we aren’t being intentional about our choices, we might end up feeling overwhelmed or stressed out.

Living with more intention will also help you get to know yourself better. You may think you know everything there is to know about you, but reflecting on your thoughts and choices can help you get to know yourself on a deeper level. And when you know yourself better, you’ll be able to make choices that make you happy and feel fulfilled!
